MidAmerica Transport is seeking Driver Recruiters to source, screen, and hire CDL Class A drivers. You will manage the full recruiting cycle from lead generation to onboarding while ensuring FMCSA/DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recruiting experience for CDL Class A drivers.
• General understanding of FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with software including Tenstreet, Paylocity, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates via job boards, social media, referrals, and events.
• Conduct phone and video interviews and explain pay structure.
• Pre-screen applicants for CDL driving experience and qualifications.
• Coordinate background checks, MVR, FMCSA Clearinghouse, and drug testing.
• Manage candidate pipeline in ATS and schedule orientation.
• Track recruiting metrics such as time to fill and cost per hire.

MidAmerica Transport, under new ownership, management and in a new location, is seeking Driver Recruiters. In this role you will source, screen, and hire CDL Class A drivers. You will manage the full recruiting cycle from lead generation to onboarding, while ensuring compliance with FMCSA/DOT and company hiring standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source candidates via job boards, social media, referrals, job fairs, and industry events
• Conduct phone and video interviews, explaining pay structure, possibly routes, equipment type and benefits.
• Pre-screen applicants for CDL driving experience and qualifications.
• Coordinate with Safety on background checks, including MVR, FMCSA Clearinghouse, employment verification, and pre-employment drug testing.
• Manage the candidate pipeline in an ATS
• Schedule orientation and road tests
• Track recruiting metrics, including time to fill, cost per hire, hiring source success, and retention over time.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least 2 years of experience recruiting Class A CDL drivers
• General understanding of FMCSA/DOT regulations
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Proficiency with a variety of software programs, including Microsoft Office, Tenstreet, and Paylocity
• Ability and willingness to learn additional programs, systems, procedures and policies
