Job summary

MidAmerica Transport is seeking a Driver Manager to oversee a fleet of CDL Class A drivers and the vehicles they operate. You will coordinate scheduling, route optimization, and compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations, while driving driver performance and retention improvements.

You will act as the main liaison between recruiters, drivers and operations, ensuring safety, cost control and timely deliveries as the company expands under new ownership and location.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of experience managing the logistics of CDL Class A drivers and the vehicle they operate.
• In-depth knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Prior CDL Class A driving experience is preferable.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proficiency with trucking software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assign loads and optimize routes to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Track vehicle maintenance and fuel costs.
• Monitor hours-of-service logs for drivers.
• Serve as main point of contact for drivers and recruiters.
• Foster a positive work environment to reduce turnover.

MidAmerica Transport, under new ownership, management and in a new location, is seeking Driver Managers to oversee a fleet of vehicles and the drivers who operate them.

In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between recruiters, drivers and company operations. You will be responsible for scheduling routes, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance with FMCSA/DOT, and managing driver performance and retention.
