Job summary

Sandhill Cove Retirement Community in Palm City, FL is recruiting a hospitality-focused Driver (per diem). You will transport residents to grocery store, monthly outings and extended trips, and assist with light housekeeping as required.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months bus/van driving experience, a valid Florida driver's license, and the ability to obtain CPR/AED certification. Pay rate is $17.00 per hour; schedule includes Saturday 3pm–8:30pm and Sunday 8:30am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience as a bus/van driver.
• Must have a valid Florida Driver's License.
• Ability to obtain CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Drive van, bus (14 passenger) or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs.
• Assist Life Enrichment Manager or Life Enrichment Coordinator in assisting residents on and off bus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
• Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van.
• Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
• Clean and wash vehicle.
• May perform housekeeping functions as directed.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Driver:

• Drive van, bus (14 passenger ) or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs.
• Assist Life Enrichment Manager or Life Enrichment Coordinator in assisting residents on and off bus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
• Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van.
• Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
• Clean and wash vehicle.
• May perform housekeeping functions as directed.
• Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum six (6) months experience as a bus (14 passenger)/van driver required
• Position requires a valid Florida Drivers License
• Must have the ability to obtain a CPR/AED certification
