Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Bettendorf, IA seeks a Personal Care Attendant/Certified Nursing Assistant to support PACE participants with daily activities and mobility. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with rotating weekends/holidays.

This full-time position includes benefits and a collaborative team environment. The role emphasizes compassionate in-home and facility-based care, documentation, and adherence to safety and infection control procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or applicable work experience.
• Nursing Assistant CNA certification with 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training (16 hours supervised).
• CPR status must be current; Mandatory Reporter status; 12 hours of in-services per year; valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and mobility.
• Provide assistance with transfers, ambulation and use of assistive devices.
• Perform light housekeeping related to participant care (laundry, meal prep, area cleaning).
• Assist with meal setup and feeding as needed.
• Document services accurately and report incidents promptly.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions.
• Participate in PCA on-call rotation.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma, GED OR applicable work experience.Certification from a nursing assistant training program through classroom and supervised practical training totaling at least 75 hours with 16 hours devoted to supervised practical training OR minimum of six months clinical experience.

License(s)/Certification(s)

• Maintains current CPR status
• Maintains current Mandatory Reporter status
• Completes 12 hours of related in-services per calendar year.
• Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
• Valid Auto insurance.
