Job summary

MTM Transit in Phoenix, AZ is hiring Drivers to join our growing team. You will provide safe, reliable transportation for non-emergency passengers and play a key role in community mobility.

We offer paid training, overtime, holidays, PTO, and a 401(k) with company match. The position requires a high school diploma, 25+ age, Arizona driver's license, clean driving/history, and the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 25+ age required.
• Arizona driver’s license valid.
• Minimum of 5 years driving history with clean record.
• No pending charges or felonies in past 7 years.
• No DUI/DWI convictions; pass background check & MVR.
• DOT pre-employment drug screening if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle.
• Assist with mobility device and securement per safety protocols.
• Ensure on-time pick-up and drop-off of customers.
• Show sensitivity to needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Complete vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required.
• Complete paperwork as required; use tablets or electronic devices as needed.

AAA is looking for Drivers to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. We currently have training classes that start every week!

What you’ll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

• Must be 25 years of age or older

• Valid Arizona Driver’s license

• Minimum of 5 years driving history

• No pending charges

• No convicted felony charges in past 7 years

• No DUI or DWI convictions

• Must pass criminal background check & motor vehicle record investigation

• Must pass a DOT physical if over the age of 65 including a pre-employment drug screening

• Valid Authorization to work in the United States

Skills:

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronicdevice

• Ability to maintain a high level ofconfidentiality

• Ability to communicate with others and comprehendinstructions

• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, andschedules

• Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOTregulations

• Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the servicearea

What You’ll Do:

• Provide safe and reliabletransportation

• Demonstrateexcellentdefensivedrivingskills

• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and externalstakeholders

• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading fromvehicle

• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safetyprotocols

• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop-off of thecustomer

• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections asrequired

• Complete paperwork asrequired

• Utilize tablets or electronic devices asrequired
