Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a CDL driver to support long-haul logistics across the United States. You will drive to customer locations, unload tankers into storage, and manage inventory with pre/post‑trip inspections to ensure safety and accuracy.

The role requires adherence to DOT regulations, handling of hazardous materials, and accurate paperwork. Compensation and schedule reflect demanding travel and compliance responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, product bulletins, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Drives and/or operates truck for delivery across United States.
  • Unloads tankers into storage bin at customer using onboard pump.
  • Pulls, loads, unloads, and counts inventory pre/post‑trip.
  • Completes pre/post‑trip vehicle inspections and reports maintenance requirements to management.
  • Follows direction of the Transportation Dispatcher.
  • Develops and maintains positive work relationships with co‑workers, customers, vendors, and government agencies.
  • Displays honest and ethical work behavior in pursuit of company business goals.
  • Complies with inventory management procedures.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment, assuring regulatory compliance at the location, customer sites, and during transit.
  • Completes and maintains accurate paperwork required by company policies, DOT, and other agencies.

Home nightly schedule with no weekends and a sign‑on bonus. Responsibilities include driving across the United States, unloading tankers, handling hazardous materials, and performing a variety of logistics duties.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Drives and/or operates truck for delivery across United States.
  • Unloads tankers into storage bin at customer using onboard pump.
  • Pulls, loads, unloads, and counts inventory pre/post‑trip.
  • Completes pre/post‑trip vehicle inspections and reports maintenance requirements to management.
  • Follows direction of the Transportation Dispatcher.
  • Develops and maintains positive work relationships with co‑workers, customers, vendors, and government agencies.

  • Complies with inventory management procedures.

  • Completes and maintains accurate, legible paperwork required by company policies, Department of Transportation, and other federal and state agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • 21+ years of age as required by DOT.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of driving experience or completed a CDL training class.
  • Must be able to acquire an ATF license to possess explosives.
  • Must meet requirements of all State & Federal explosive laws.
Commercial Driver’s License Requirements
  • Class A – any combination over 26,001 pounds.
  • Hazardous Material X – Combination of Tank and Hazardous Material.
  • Air Brake.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, product bulletins, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to identify products by sight.
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, and sit.
  • Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands to operate controls, and repeatably lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment

Outdoor climate and terrain with exposure to dust, noise, oils, greases, and other debris. Must be able to sleep in sleeper while team driver is driving truck.
