Job summary

Buddy Moore Trucking Inc. is a growing transportation company seeking a Driver Manager to oversee the daily activity of our driver personnel and coordinate with load planners across the southeast.

You will direct driver movements and ensure safe, on-time delivery in designated territories. The ideal candidate has a degree in Logistics or 1–3 years in dispatch or fleet management and is proficient with truck dispatch software such as McLeod.

Qualifications

• Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or 1–3 years in dispatch or fleet management.
• Proficient with truck dispatch software.
• Flatbed experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate ETAs with load planners.
• Use McLeod to assign work to drivers in the southeast.
• Direct daily driver activities to territories per company policies.
• Guide drivers on compliance with local, state and federal trucking laws.
• Ensure drivers are safe, productive and deliver on time.
• Counsel drivers and assist with over-the-road issues.
• Help drivers keep licenses, random tests and physicals up to date.
