Job summary

PS Logistics’ DMT Trucking division seeks a Driver Manager to oversee daily activity of our driver personnel across our operations. You will coordinate with load planners, assign work using McLeod, and ensure drivers’ safety, productivity, and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–3 years experience in dispatch or fleet management (as stated)
• Proficient experience with truck dispatch software
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Microsoft Office knowledge
• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Communicate ETAs with load planners
• Utilize McLeod dispatch software to assign work to drivers
• Direct daily activities of drivers to territories or dedicated operations
• Guide drivers on compliance with local, state and federal statutes
• Ensure drivers are safe, productive and deliver on time
• Counsel drivers and assist with over-the-road issues
• Assist drivers with maintaining important documents (license renewal, random drug tests, physicals)
