Job summary

Schneider is seeking a Driver Manager in Elwood, IL to oversee driver performance and ensure timely, safe freight delivery. You will serve as the link between drivers, customers, and the business, coaching teams and managing schedules.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, payroll and home time management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve retention and efficiency. This is a full-time role with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with a variety of teams, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Make safety-conscious decisions that ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Balance the needs of our customers, drivers and the business.
• Provide continuous, structured and proactive performance management and coaching to drivers.
• Manage driver payroll and home time.
• Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement creative solutions to improve retention and drive business.
