Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. is seeking a Driver Manager in Elwood, IL to oversee driver performance and ensure successful delivery operations. You will coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to optimize routes, compliance, and safety.

The position offers a Monday–Friday 10 a.m.–7 p.m. schedule, with a starting salary of $61,800–$77,300 per year based on experience, and a benefits package including health, life, and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with a variety of teams, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Make safety-conscious decisions that ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Balance the needs of our customers, drivers and the business.
• Provide continuous, structured and proactive performance management and coaching to drivers.
• Manage driver payroll and home time.
• Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement creative solutions to improve retention and drive business.
