Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking a Full Time, Non-CDL Driver to join our team in Okeechobee, FL. Training will be conducted in Sebring, with a three-week full-time paid program at our Sebring office before your duties shift to serving the Okeechobee area.

You will operate a company vehicle and provide reliable, customer-focused transportation. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid FL license, and the ability to pass DOT physical and background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License or ability to obtain.
• No driver’s license suspensions/revocations for moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than five traffic violation points in the past 12 months.
• No serious traffic violations including reckless driving in the last 5 years.
• No DUI/DWI convictions.
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
• Must pass criminal background check investigation.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States.
• Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle.
• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols.
• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer.
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required.
• Complete paperwork as required.
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required.

MTM Transit, in partnership with Heartland Rides, is looking for a Full Time, Non - CDL Driver to join our team in Okeechobee, FL. We currently have training classes that start regularly!

This will be a "park-out" position. Three weeks of full-time paid training will take place at our main office in Sebring. After training, the employee will take a company vehicle home and would be stationed in the Okeechobee area.

What you’ll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.equivalent

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License or ability to obtain

• No driver’s license suspensions/revocations for moving violations in the last 3 years
