Job summary

U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI) is seeking a Driver-Non CDL for its Poughkeepsie, NY location. The role focuses on safe, on-time deliveries and strict adherence to DOT regulations.

You will inspect vehicles daily, document deliveries with logs and signatures, and communicate delays to the dispatcher. Strong customer service and driving experience are essential for success in this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate warehouse equipment.
• Must be strongly independent.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and will be required to obtain a current DOT medical card.
• Customer service experience and driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Make all deliveries in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
• Check vehicles for safety and proper maintenance daily, including loading and driver logs.
• Comply with all D.O.T. regulations and complete all required paperwork.
• Advise dispatcher of problems or delays during delivery run.
• Complete all documentation for deliveries including logs and customer signatures.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, violations, or damage to vehicles.
• Notify management of problems or delays during route.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

USESI is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Driver to join our team. This position will be located in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Make all deliveries in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
• Check vehicles for safety and proper maintenance on a daily basis, including insuring proper loading and drivers logs being completed.
• Complying with all D.O.T. regulations. Completing all required company and D.O.T. paperwork.
• Advise dispatcher of problems or delays as they occur during your delivery run.
• Complete all documentation for deliveries including preparation of logs, customer signatures on logs, and out of state mileage logs.
• Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the vehicles.
• Advise management of problems or delays during your delivery route.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager
