Job summary

Newrest in Atlanta, GA is hiring an Aircraft Catering Driver to load and unload galley equipment, drive to aircraft, and deliver gear safely. You will be the face of Newrest and ensure food services meet safety guidelines while keeping customers satisfied.

As part of a diverse team across 54 countries, you can grow from driver to trainer or supervisor. The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and ability to pass airport security checks; bilingual not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Valid state driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to pass airport security clearances.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Able to use technology and devices in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload equipment from trucks, verify quantities.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks.
• Drive heavy vehicles while following traffic laws and ensuring cargo security.
• Communicate with supervisors/dispatch via radio and provide updates.
• Maintain clean loading docks and equipment; follow safety procedures.
• Wear Newrest uniform and PPE as required (SIDA badge, boots).
• Mentor new drivers and ensure GMP compliance.
• Utilize provided technology to complete daily tasks and follow procedures.
• Perform additional duties based on operational needs.

Required Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload all equipment on trucks, checking quantities before loading.
• Perform thorough pre-trip inspection and mandatory safety checks for the vehicle before each shift.
• Drive a heavy vehicle responsibly, respecting traffic regulations and ensuring product security during transportation.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatchers via radio, providing updates and addressing job-related issues.
• Maintain a clean working area, loading docks, and equipment.
• Follow all health, safety, and security procedures, including the proper use of equipment.
• Wear Newrest uniform, including safety vest, work boots, and SIDA badge.
• Train new drivers and ensure compliance with general manufacturing practices.
• Utilize technology provided to complete daily functions and follow current and new operation procedures.
• Other job duties may be assigned based on operational need

Education/Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Previous experience driving large vehicles.
• Current and valid state-issued Driver's License with a safe driving record.
• Prior experience in the airline or aviation industry is a plus.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to pass all required airport security clearances.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Understanding and ability to use technological devices.
• Good attendance records and adaptability to new operating procedures.
• Awareness of safety risks and effective communication of issues.
• Knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
