Job summary

Maple Knoll Village in Cincinnati, OH, seeks a Driver to provide reliable resident transportation within the community and to appointments, events, and meals. You will support residents’ independence and safety through courteous, compassionate driving and assistance with mobility aids as needed.

Full-time day shift is 8am–4pm with some evening outings, weekends, and holidays. Competitive hourly wages and benefits, including health coverage and retirement options, are offered.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to meet DOT testing requirements.
  • Prior professional driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules transportation for residents within regularly scheduled work hours.
  • Transports residents to and from appointments, activities, meals, and other locations.
  • Assists residents with getting in and out of vehicles and with items such as walkers or personal belongings.
  • Coordinates transportation service appointment information with maintenance staff or vendors.
  • Maintains vehicle cleanliness and reports wear and tear to supervisor.
  • Completes transportation-related documentation and processes charges as required.
  • Advises supervisor of vehicle repairs or other needs.

In This Role You Will:

  • Schedules transportation for residents within regularly scheduled work hours.
  • Transports residents to and from appointments, life enrichment activities, meal service and other locations on or off the community grounds, as necessary.
  • Assists all residents with getting in and out of the vehicles and with additional items or equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, medical records or other paperwork, grocery bags and/or personal items. May escort residents into or out of the location and/or may wait for residents during the visit or appointment, when appropriate.
  • Coordinates and communicates transportation vehicle service appointment information with maintenance staff, supervisor and/or service vendors as required.
  • Accommodates the pick-up and drop-off of community vehicles to and from service appointments.
  • May run errands for residents and management staff as requested.
  • Completes transportation-related documentation, processes charges, and makes/sends reminders in accordance with community policy and procedure.
  • Advises supervisor of needed vehicle repairs and other needs.
  • Maintains cleanliness and proper service for each vehicle (fuel, lubricants, etc.); immediately reports wear and tear or damage to the supervisor.
  • May be required to assist with emergencies, and other situations, as needed.
  • Fulltime Day shift, 8a-4p, must have flexibility in hours, to accommodate evening outings
  • Every other weekend and some holidays

Who You Are:

  • Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to meet DOT testing and requirements
  • Prior professional driving experience, preferred.
