Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Driver (DOT-No CDL) at our Wallingford, CT facility. The role delivers from distribution centers to branches and customer sites, with routes averaging 10-12 stops per shift and up to 28 hours per week.

You will operate a safe, late-model straight truck, unload freight at stops, and maintain equipment while following health, safety, and sustainability guidelines.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Possess a current valid Driver's License in good standing.
• Possess a current health card OR have the ability to obtain one.
• Meet Fastenal driving record requirements.
• Possess strong working knowledge of the DOT regulations in regards to a DOT-No CDL Driver.
• Maintain DOT regulated Drivers Hours-of-Service.

Up to 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals be on our transportation team! Working as a Part-time Driver (DOT-No CDL), you will be representing the Fastenal fleet as it delivers from its Fastenal Distribution Centers to its branches and customer on-site locations. You will operate a safe, well-maintained and late model straight truck. Delivery trucks are pre-loaded, in order of delivery, prior to departure, and you will be responsible for unloading the freight at each stop along your route; most routes average 10-12 stops. We offer established routes that may see periodic change based off needs of the company. REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Possess a current valid Driver's License in good standing
• Possess a current health card OR have the ability to obtain one
• Meet Fastenal driving record requirements
• Possess strong working knowledge of the DOT regulations in regards to a DOT-No CDL Driver
• Maintain DOT regulated Drivers Hours-of-Service
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift up to 60 lbs. and maneuver up to 150 lbs.
• Successfully complete the required DOT drug and alcohol screens, road test, employment verification and background check

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior driving work experience
• Prior experience operating a forklift

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this position is $24/hr -32/hr. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
