Job summary

The Bay Family of Companies is hiring a Driver to deliver insulation products to scheduled job sites in a timely manner. This role includes loading and unloading, with occasional warehouse work between routes, and requires safe operation of a 26’ straight truck.

Responsibilities include staging deliveries, completing pre-trip inspections, processing customer paperwork, and communicating service issues to the Plant Manager. A High School diploma and DOT-compliant med card are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year verifiable experience driving a straight truck (26’ box truck, manual transmission).
• Ability to pass a Driver Background Check.
• Ability to meet all DOT regulations needed to receive and maintain a med card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver insulation products to scheduled job sites and load/unload material.
• Stage product on the truck for delivery.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and minor truck maintenance; report issues to Plant Manager.
• Process paperwork: tickets, bills of lading, customer receipts and COD handling when required.
• Communicate customer service issues to the Plant Manager.
• May work in warehouse positions between deliveries.
• All other duties as assigned.

Description

The Driver is responsible for delivery of insulation products and requires unloading and loading of product to the scheduled job sites in a timely manner. Some warehouse work is required as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Driving to deliver material and the loading and unloading of material within a pre-determined driving schedule.
• Staging product onto the truck for delivery.
• Maintains truck, performs daily pre-trip inspections and provides minor maintenance on truck if needed. Reports and mechanical or maintenance related issues that need to be repaired to the Plant Manager.
• Processes paperwork including, but not limited to; tickets, bills of lading, customer signed receipts and COD handling when specified.
• Communicates any customer service issues addressed at the job site to the Plant Manager.
• May be required to work Warehouse positions between scheduled deliveries.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires 1-year verifiable experience driving a straight truck (26’ box truck, manual transmission)
• Ability to pass a Driver Background Check
• Ability to meet all DOT regulations needed to receive and maintain a med card, required.
