Bay Building Supplies of Minnesota Inc in Brooklyn Park, MN is seeking a CDL Driver (Class B) to deliver insulation products to scheduled job sites and assist the warehouse with production. You will load and unload, check the vehicle, and maintain safety on every run.

Requirements include a High School diploma, a valid CDL Class B, and at least 1 year of driving experience. You will perform DOT logs, process tickets and bills of lading, and support warehouse tasks between deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid CDL (Class B) license in compliance with DOT regulations.
• At least 1 year of verifiable driving experience (tractor/trailer or 24’ box truck, manual).

Responsibilities

• Deliver products on schedule to job sites with strong customer service.
• Load/unload materials from trucks and assist warehouse as needed.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report issues promptly.
• Complete DOT logs and paperwork such as tickets and bills of lading.
• Obtain customer signatures and COD payments when required.
• Support other duties and order entry as assigned.

Description

The CDL Driver (Class B) is responsible for delivery of insulation products to scheduled job sites in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service. This role will assist the warehouse with production as well as the loading and unloading of trucks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivers products within a pre-determined driving schedule at the appropriate job site.
• Loads and unloads product and materials into and off of trucks.
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections, including pre-inspection forms and completes minor maintenance if needed. Reports any mechanical or maintenance related issues to the Plant Manager in a timely manner.
• Completes daily DOT logs according to DOT.
• Processes paperwork such as tickets and bills of lading.
• Ensures the customer’s signature on the receipt of material and collects on COD charges when specified.
• Reports any issues to the Plant Manager that were discovered at the job site for response back to the customer.
• Assists the warehouse duties as assigned between scheduled deliveries.
• May be responsible for some customer service duties, as well as order entry.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Division Manager.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Valid CDL (Class B) license in compliance with the company policy and DOT regulations, required.
• One-year verifiable experience driving a tractor/trailer or straight truck (24’ box truck, manual transmission with lift gate), required.
