Job summary

Bay Building Supplies Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver (Class B) to deliver insulation products to scheduled job sites and support warehouse operations, including loading and unloading. You will perform daily pre-trip inspections and complete DOT logs.

Responsibilities include processing tickets and bills of lading, obtaining receipts, handling COD charges when specified, and occasionally assisting with customer service and order entry as needed. Strong map reading and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid CDL (Class B) license in compliance with policy and DOT regulations.
• One year of verifiable experience driving tractor/trailer or straight truck (24’ box).

Responsibilities

• Delivers products within a pre-determined driving schedule to job sites.

• Completes daily DOT logs as required by DOT regulations.

• Reports issues to Plant Manager for customer communication.
• Assists warehouse duties between scheduled deliveries.
• May handle some customer service duties and order entry as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Division Manager.

Description

The CDL Driver (Class B) is responsible for delivery of insulation products to scheduled job sites in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service. This role will assist the warehouse with production as well as the loading and unloading of trucks.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Delivers products within a pre-determined driving schedule at the appropriate job site.
• Loads and unloads product and materials into and off of trucks.
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections, including pre-inspection forms and completes minor maintenance if needed. Reports any mechanical or maintenance related issues to the Plant Manager in a timely manner.
• Completes daily DOT logs according to DOT.
• Processes paperwork such as tickets and bills of lading.
• Ensures the customer’s signature on the receipt of material and collects on COD charges when specified.
• Reports any issues to the Plant Manager that were discovered at the job site for response back to the customer.
• Assists the warehouse duties as assigned between scheduled deliveries.
• May be responsible for some customer service duties, as well as order entry.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Division Manager.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Valid CDL (Class B) license in compliance with the company policy and DOT regulations, required.
• One-year verifiable experience driving a tractor/trailer or straight truck (24’ box truck, manual transmission with lift gate), required.
