Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe is seeking a compassionate and skilled Weekend/PRN Driver/Mental Health Tech. This role involves transporting patients to therapy sessions and activities while providing essential care and assistance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, a valid driver's license, and be at least 25 years old. You will contribute significantly to the well-being of those you serve while maintaining safety during transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CNA or Direct Service Worker preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clear MVR record.
• 25 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to therapy and activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and hygiene.
• Maintain and ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe has immediate openings for a weekend/prn driver! Previous experience caring for adult and geriatric is essential. If you have the heart for caring for individuals this is the place to be!

All Applicants selected for employment will be required to undergo a post-offer drug test and federal background investigation.

The Driver/Mental Health Tech will be required to:

• Contribute to the physical, psychological, emotional, and well-being of each person served.
• Transport to and from therapy, activities, assisting with ADL’s, meals, assisting with patient hygiene, room cleanliness and other patient care activities as/if assigned.
• Pick up meals from local vendor and bring to facilities.
• Provide patient transportation – position requires local, rural and highway driving.
• Accurately complete transportation documents/checklists.
• Assists patient in and out of vehicle.
• Promotes and practices patient safety, infection control and proper body mechanics.
• Maintains vehicle safety and maintenance-maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming vehicle.

Experience: CNA or Direct Service Worker experience preferred.

Must have:

• A valid driver's license
• Clear MVR record
• 25 years of age or older
• Must be able to perform physical demands and essential functions of the position.
