Job description

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe has immediate openings for a weekend/prn driver. Previous experience caring for adult and geriatric patients is essential. If you have the heart for caring for individuals this is the place to be!

All applicants selected for employment will be required to undergo a post‑offer drug test and federal background investigation.

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to the physical, psychological, emotional, and well‑being of each person served.
• Transport to and from therapy, activities, assisting with ADLs, meals, patient hygiene, room cleanliness and other patient care activities as assigned.
• Pick up meals from local vendors and bring them to the facility.
• Provide patient transportation—position requires local, rural, and highway driving.
• Accurately complete transportation documents and checklists.
• Assist patients in and out of the vehicle.
• Promote and practice patient safety, infection control, and proper body mechanics.
• Maintain vehicle safety and maintenance, keeping the vehicle clean, safe, and welcoming.

Qualifications

Experience: CNA or Direct Service Worker experience preferred.

Must have:

• A valid driver’s license
• Clear MVR record
• 25 years of age or older
• Ability to perform physical demands and essential functions of the position
