What will you be doing as a Driver/Material Handler?
  1. Handle the processing of incoming orders from suppliers.
  2. Meet deadlines and schedules for routine procedures and deliveries.
  3. Handle shipping/receiving activity including, but not limited to UPS, auto freight, “will call,” store-to-store transfers, and LTL shipments.
  4. Ensure pick/pack and transfer orders are picked and packed focused on quality and accuracy according to the daily schedule.
  5. Check-in corporate orders the same day that they are received.
  6. Maintain the accurate locations for all inventory items.
  7. Maintain materials in good order and condition during handling, shipping, receiving, and storage.
  8. Ensure cycle counts are completed in an efficient and accurate manner. Cycle counts are performed daily, according to Inventory Control needs.
  9. Properly load and unload vehicles ensuring load security.
  10. Process all required paperwork in a timely manner to allow for prompt invoicing of clients.
  11. Operate pallet movers, hand-trucks, forklift trucks, and other material handling equipment according to safety regulations.
  12. Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of all warehouse machinery and equipment.
  13. Loading and unloading customer orders into company vehicle, delivering products to customers, and ensuring the maintenance, upkeep, and repairs of the company vehicles and warehouse.
  14. Follow designated schedules and deadlines for delivery of local routes.
  15. Perform any other duty or task as may be assigned from time to time by the Branch Manager.
What we are looking for in a Driver/Material Handler?
  1. High School Diploma/GED.
  2. At least 1 year of work-related driving experience (box truck, sprinter van, etc.).
  3. Preferred: Certification in Forklift Operation, experience with RF scanners and inventory management.
  4. Experience or knowledge of material handling in a warehouse/distribution setting, preferably HVAC-related, but not required.
  5. Highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of monitoring multiple projects and prioritizing workload.
  6. Excellent verbal, math, and written communication skills.
  7. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred, but not required.
  8. Valid driver’s license and Medical Certification.
