Job summary

SUPERIOR INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS INC in Old Hickory, TN is seeking a Class A Truck Driver - Local/Warehouse to join our team. You’ll operate modern trucks, deliver hazardous and non-hazardous freight, and use electric pallet jacks for box deliveries, with most nights at home.

Requirements include a CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and at least two years of CDL-A driving. When not driving, you’ll perform plant duties and support shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Minimum 2 years CDL-A driving experience (or equivalent).
• Clean driving record for past 3 years; no violations.

Responsibilities

• Pull product samples and submit to Lab for quality control (when not driving).
• Label containers and secure closures.
• Inspect, label, store, and prepare products for shipment.
• Stage, load, and unload pails, drums, and totes.
• Operate a forklift.
• Wear required PPE for safety.
• Keep work area safe, clean, and orderly.
• Lift and/or move 55 lbs.
• Drive to local rail spur and unload rail cars.
• Shuttle trailers to and from local repair shop.
• Cross-train in shipping/receiving, bulk handling, inventory control, chemical packaging, fiberglass handling, tote cleaning, preventive maintenance, and yard truck spotting.

What We’re Looking For

We are currently seeking a Class A Truck Driver - Local/Warehouse, based out of our Old Hickory, TN facility.

A Bit About the CDL-A Role

• Modern, well-maintained trucks.
• Drivers deliver hazardous and non-hazardous freight which may include drums, IBC’s and various palletized items.
• Drivers are all equipped with electric pallet jacks for box deliveries.
• All PPE and necessary equipment to perform the job is provided i.e., uniforms & ELD’s/phone.

What You’ll Do (When Not Driving)

Position requires:

• When not driving, the driver will be expected to perform job duties in the plant
