Job summary

Schneider is seeking a Driver Manager in Valley, AL to ensure successful execution of customer freight delivery through effective driver management. The Driver Manager will act as a link between the business, our drivers and customers.

This on-site role requires a bachelor's degree or two years of equivalent experience, strong communication, and the ability to coach drivers while coordinating with multiple teams to optimize retention and service levels.

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Make safety-conscious decisions that ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Balance the needs of our customers, drivers and the business.
• Provide continuous, structured and proactive performance management and coaching to drivers.
• Manage driver payroll and home time.
• Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement creative solutions to improve retention and drive business.
