Job summary

QQR Transport in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced Driver Manager to dispatch our fleet and ensure on-time delivery by managing drivers, loads, and cross-functional partnerships. You will own both driver relationships and load planning on a high-volume FTL board of 30–50 drivers, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in FTL dispatch/logistics.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Make safety-conscious decisions and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Balance drivers, brokers, and business needs.
• Provide ongoing performance coaching to drivers.
• Manage driver home time and schedules.
• Own load planning for your board across regional and OTR lanes.
• Plan routes to maximize equipment utilization and minimize empty miles.
• Track hours of service and keep pickups/deliveries on schedule.
• Build strong relationships with drivers and freight brokers.
• Negotiate freight rates and manage load profitability.
• Resolve on-road issues cost-consciously and effectively.
• Maintain dispatch logs and driver schedules.
• Collaborate with freight brokerages on bookings, tracking, and issue resolution.
• Support the Operations Manager with daily execution and escalations.
• Collaborate with HR on driver hiring and retention.
