What You'll Do as a Driver License Station Supervisor:
Ohio Department of Public Safety - Bureau of Motor Vehicles/Driver Exam Services/District 7 Jackson
Report in location: 502 McCarty Lane, Suite 3, Jackson, OH 45640
Work Hours: Tuesday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. & Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Directly supervises lower ranking examiners and/or supports personnel at a district level; schedules, trains and evaluates employees assigned to the district; oversees the daily operations of the facilities; conducts written, oral and over the road license testing; investigates complaints and documents facts relating to said complaints and issues discipline; interacts with the public on a daily basis as the representative of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
Reviews and/or prepares required management reports including daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports, payroll audits; prepares requisitions for station supplies and equipment; evaluates test routes on a regular basis and rides along with examiners to ensure uniformity of testing; prepares crash reports including workers compensation forms when applicable; investigates and reports violations of work rules and procedures to the appropriate supervisor; performs all duties of subordinate driver license examiners as assigned.

36 months training or 36 months experience in laws and signs applicable for operation of motorized vehicles, including commercial vehicles and Bureau of Motor Vehicles’ policies and procedures governing testing for and issuance of driver licenses and commercial vehicle licenses; 1 year experience in supervisory principles and techniques or providing work direction and training to other employees; valid Ohio Class ‘D’ Driver License.
-Or 12 months experience as Driver License Examiner 2 (Lead Worker), 24333; valid Ohio Class ‘D’ Driver License.
-Or 12 months experience as CDL Field Representative 24332; 12 months experience in providing work direction and training to other employees; valid Ohio Class ‘D’ Driver License.
-Or 12 months experience as Driver Examination Field Representative 24334; 12 months experience in providing work direction and training to other employees; valid Ohio Class ‘D’ Driver License.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT REQUIRED TO REMAIN IN THE CLASSIFICATION AFTER EMPLOYMENT: Renewal of driver license as required by law. Successful completion of agency driving training course required before end of probationary period.
