This posting is accepting applications for position 60030875 located in the Wendell Driver License Office.

We are currently looking for Driver License Examiners. You will be responsible for administering eligibility tests, evaluating applicants for classified Driver Licenses, Commercial Driver Licenses, Learner's permits, and ID cards. You will handle a high volume of transactions, using excellent customer service skills to confirm applicants' knowledge of NC Motor Vehicle laws, identify road signs, check vision, and observe/evaluate driving skills by riding with customers in their personal vehicles during road tests in all weather conditions. You will serve as a public advisor to identify potential health concerns, inform customers of available services, and ensure data accuracy in internal systems.

You are the face of the DMV and play a key role in reducing wait times and enhancing customer service. Flexibility to travel during the day and on short notice may be required to meet office coverage needs.

Related experience includes customer service with diverse groups, providing detailed information to the public, conducting interviews, and working knowledge of DMV policies and procedures.
