Job summary

Daniels Health in Gardena, CA is seeking a driver with a Class A Haz endorsement and experience driving large trucks to collect sharps and medical waste from healthcare locations. You will deliver excellent customer service with a high degree of autonomy on a 40-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A Haz endorsement and a clean driving record with a valid medical card.
• Six months of driving experience with tractor trailers or straight trucks.
• Demonstrated ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Ability to load, unload, and handle medical waste materials safely.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and logging hours.
• Strong customer service mindset with reliable, timely communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering, and storing medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Provide strong customer service and build positive relationships with clients.
• Operate and drive vehicles in a safe, compliant manner.
• Meet delivery schedules and communicate changes or challenges promptly.
• Load and unload cargo and organize truck per schedule.
• Follow route directions and manage deliveries per leadership guidance.
• Ensure DOT compliance, proper logging of hours, and roadside inspections.
• Demonstrate safe lifting techniques and physical readiness.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver with a Class A Haz endorsement license and experience driving large trucks to utilize your experience across the Gardena, CA area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits. Our vehicle fleet is modern and well-maintained. What will your job involve?

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting

• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
