Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart seeks a Class B Driver to operate a 26 ft box truck in the Taylor, MI area, collecting sharps and medical waste from healthcare locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits.

This position includes a $3k sign-on bonus for new hires, with $1k paid after 30 days and $2k after 90 days.

Qualifications

• CDL B License Required.
• Delivery experience in any industry with manual handling is advantageous.
• Willingness to work full time hours, ~40 hours per week.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Passing the 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Experience operating vehicles up to 26 ft box trucks.
• DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections.
• On time delivery practices and strong customer focus.
• Job stability as a non-seasonal, essential service.
• Overtime opportunities and consistent work hours (Mon-Fri, 6 AM to finish).
• Permanent full-time role, 40-45 hours per week.
• Competitive salary: set rate of $25 per hour.

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner
• Completing deliveries to time schedule and communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading and organizing truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction and delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused Class B Driver operate a truck across the Taylor, MI area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits.

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting - Ability to lift 50 lbs, and push and pull carts that can be a couple hundred lbs
• CDL B License Required
• Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)
• Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
• On time delivery practices
