Job summary

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa is seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure timely and consistent distribution of all clean and soiled linens across the property. You will pick up soiled linen, deliver clean linen to outlets, assist with washers/dryers, and support the laundry area while adhering to Omni standards.

Ideal candidates may have prior laundry experience, be 21+, hold a valid driver license, pass a background/test, and be available for varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous Laundry experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver license and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment specimen test.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, performing repetitive work.
• Must be willing to work a variety of shifts.
• PM availibility required.
• Weekends and holidays may be required.
• Extra work hours/shifts may be required to ensure that all customer needs are met daily.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clean linen is delivered to the proper linen closets by item and record deliveries.
• Assist in loading washers and dryers to help in production levels.
• Work chute area when needed.
• Complete pre-shift and post-shift checklists for vehicle.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the resort.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
• Attend department meetings and other required company trainings.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to drive, stand for long periods of time, walk, push, pull, stoop, bend and lift items of moderate to heavy weight for an entire shift.

Working Environment

• Roadway with exposure to a variety of weather conditions.
• Interior and exterior of clubhouse and hotel.
• Interior of laundry room with daily travel around property.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, especially heat.
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals.
