Job summary

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa is seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure the timely distribution of clean and soiled linens across the resort, supporting food & beverage outlets, Spa, Fitness, Tennis, clubhouse, and Lakeside.

You will pick up soiled linen, deliver to proper linen closets, and assist in loading washers and dryers. Maintain attendance and dress code, attend trainings, and be flexible with shifts including weekends and PM hours.

Qualifications

• Previous Laundry experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver license and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment specimen test.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, performing repetitive work.
• Must be willing to work a variety of shifts.
• PM availibilty required.
• Weekends and holidays may be required.
• Extra work hours/shifts may be required to ensure that all customer needs are met daily.

• Attend department meetings and other required trainings.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to drive, stand for long periods of time, walk, push, pull, stoop, bend and lift items of moderate to heavy weight for an entire shift.

Working Environment

• Roadway with exposure to a variety of weather conditions.
• Interior and exterior of clubhouse and hotel.
• Interior of laundry room with daily travel around property.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, especially heat.
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals.
