Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking a Driver to provide safe and reliable trolley operation in Mojave, CA, in partnership with Kern Transit. The role emphasizes courteous service, strict compliance with client procedures, and safety protocols.

You will load/unload passengers, assist with mobility devices, and ensure on-time arrivals while adhering to DOT/ADA regulations. Training completes before pay increases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• California Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement is required.
• No felony convictions in past 5 years; no serious driving offenses in past 7 years.
• Must pass DOT medical exam and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation for passengers.
• Demonstrate defensive driving and high courtesy.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading and mobility device securement.
• Maintain on-time pick-up and drop-off according to schedules.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections and complete paperwork.
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices to complete tasks.
