Job summary

Buttonwillow Warehouse Company in Woodlake, CA is seeking a full-time driver to operate Class A commercial vehicles and deliver hazardous and non-hazardous materials while maintaining accurate delivery tickets and logs.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, verify paperwork, secure loads, follow DOT and HazMat safety requirements, and provide professional customer service with necessary endorsements as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat endorsement required.
• Tanker endorsement when required.
• Current DOT medical certification when required.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and delivery equipment.
• Ability to read shipping papers, labels, placards, and delivery instructions.
• Dependable attendance and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles.
• Deliver hazardous and non-hazardous materials to customers.

• Communicate with dispatch regarding deliveries, delays, or problems.
• Report spills, accidents, equipment problems, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Keep trucks and equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
• Attend required safety and Hazmat training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to safely enter and exit trucks, perform vehicle inspections, connect equipment when required, and work outdoors in different weather conditions. Employees must wear required PPE and follow company safe-lifting practices.
