Job summary

Maersk is hiring a Driver Helper to assist the driver with loading and unloading, route navigation, and freight staging. The role involves scanning routes, handling freight, and following safety guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates will have map-reading ability, be able to lift up to 75 lbs, provide strong customer service, and be able to work overtime. This role requires teamwork and careful adherence to instructions and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a map and general geographic knowledge of the area.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs unassisted.
• Must possess good customer service skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must read and comprehend work instructions.
• Ability to work well with others with little supervision.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Assist driver with loading and unloading and navigate to deliveries.
• Scan daily route onto the truck and stage freight.
• Identify and annotate OS&D (overages, shortages, damages).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment as needed.
• Follow TSA and OSHA guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
