Job summary

Watkins Distributing is seeking a Driver Helper to support local delivery routes in Jerome, Idaho. You will assist drivers to ensure safe, timely delivery of products and help with unloading, stocking, and rotating items at customer locations.

You will communicate with drivers, sales reps, and store personnel while handling equipment like pallet jacks and handheld devices. This role includes other duties as assigned and requires physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Time management, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Able to use standard handheld computer devices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with product delivery in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Unload product from the trailer using a pallet jack and/or hand truck.
• Stock cooler space, shelf space, and displays at the time of delivery.
• Rotate product according to company standards.
• Collect empty keg shells, damaged goods, or mis-ordered product.
• Communicate clearly with delivery drivers, sales reps, and store personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:
Driver Helpers support local delivery routes within an assigned territory, working with drivers to get product safely and efficiently to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with product delivery in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Unload product from the trailer using a pallet jack and/or hand truck.
• Stock cooler space, shelf space, and displays at the time of delivery.
• Rotate product according to company standards.
• Collect empty keg shells, damaged goods, or mis-ordered product.
• Communicate clearly with delivery drivers, sales reps, and store personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Time management, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Able to use standard handheld computer devices.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Ability to regularly lift and move cases weighing 20-30 lbs., and occasionally up to 160 lbs. to waist height.
• Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
• Able to safely operate a delivery vehicle in a range of weather conditions.
