Denton County is hiring a Driver/Equipment Operator II to maintain roads and bridges, operating compactors, front-end loaders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment.
You will perform traffic control, patching, culvert installation, brush removal, sign installation, and routine equipment maintenance, with on-call duties during storms. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Class B CDL with N endorsement (and Class A with N preferred), plus at least two years of related experience.

The Driver/Equipment Operator II performs specialized skilled work in the operation of one or more types of motorized heavy equipment used in the maintenance and construction of roads and bridges. Work involves operating such equipment as compactors, front-end loaders, farm tractors, backhoes, etc., for such activities as patching roads and installing culverts. Employee is also responsible for cutting and hauling brush, hauling dirt, mowing roadsides, and repairing and replacing road signs.
