Green Image Landscaping and Tree Service

We maintain, build and care for commercial properties and HOA communities across Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Dade. Grounds maintenance, landscape install and enhancement, tree work, and irrigation through our own division, Water Wizard.

About 20 people work here, and most of them are in the field.

What that actually means if you work here:

• Year round work. South Florida does not stop growing in January and neither do we. There is no seasonal layoff.
  
• Commercial only. Fixed routes and properties you get to know, not a different residential driveway every hour.
  
• Equipment that starts. Gear gets replaced before it fails, not after.
  
• Room to move. Groundsman to crew leader. Crew leader to foreman. Groundsman to climber or irrigation tech. Those moves are open.

Job Description

Landscape Crew Leader | Green Image | Boynton Beach, FL. Field based, 3 county service area | 4 day work week: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30 minute lunch. 40 hours in 4 days, Fridays off. Occasional Friday overtime.

LOCATION

Field based across Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Report to the Boynton Beach yard.

SCHEDULE

Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30 minute lunch break. That is a full 40 hours in 4 days, and Fridays off. Occasional overtime on Fridays.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role owns what the property looks like when your crew leaves it, and whether the route got finished in the hours it was budgeted.

You run a 2 or 3 person crew on a fixed route of commercial and HOA properties. Same properties, same clients, every week, which means the standard either holds or visibly slips.

You are accountable for the crew being productive and safe, for the quality of the work, and for telling the office about conditions the client will call about before the client calls.

This is a strong fit for someone comfortable holding a crew accountable to a documented standard, not someone who wants to do all the work personally while the crew watches.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Run the assigned route and complete each property to the documented standard within the budgeted hours.
  
• Conduct the daily field safety meeting with your crew and confirm required PPE before work starts.
  
• Perform a pre trip inspection of the truck and trailer and confirm the load is secured before leaving the yard.
  
• Walk each property before the crew leaves and correct anything that does not meet standard.
  
• Photograph conditions the client needs to see in CompanyCam, including irrigation leaks, storm damage and declining plant material.
  
• Report property issues that require follow up work to the assigned manager the same day.
  
• Direct and pace the crew, and tell the assigned manager when a property is consistently taking longer than budgeted.
  
• Confirm equipment is cleaned, fueled and reported for service at the end of the day.
  

WHAT YOU WON'T DO

• You will not build the route schedule. Lawn maintenance scheduling is owned by the Lawn Maintenance Manager.
  
• You will not quote, price or sell additional work to the client. You document the condition and hand it to the Account Manager.
  
• You will not perform equipment repair beyond daily checks and reporting. The shop and Production own maintenance execution.
  
• You will not hire, discipline or terminate crew members. You report performance and attendance to your manager.
  
• You will not own follow up or punchlist work. Production schedules it and assigns the crew.
  

TOOLS

• Commercial ZTR and walk behind mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers
  
• Hedge trimmers and pole saws for hedge and palm work
  
• Truck and enclosed or open trailer, including tie down and load securing
  
• CompanyCam for property condition documentation
  

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 plus years leading a landscape maintenance crew, not just working on one
  
• Experience on commercial or HOA properties, not residential route work only
  
• Valid Florida driver license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer
  
• Trailer towing experience, including backing a loaded trailer
  
• Knows South Florida plant material well enough to spot decline and pest damage
  
• Able to run a daily safety meeting and hold a crew to PPE requirements
  
• Comfortable using a smartphone app to take and upload job photos
  
• Able to work outdoors in South Florida heat, humidity and rain year round
  
• Preferred: Spanish and English
