Job summary

Boone County Schools is seeking an Extra-Duty Driver Education Teacher to deliver classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction at Van Junior Senior High School. This 90‑day assignment caps daily hours at two and requires appropriate Driver Education certification.

Salary is hourly and paid according to the district’s approved schedule and/or established extra‑duty rates. Possession of a valid WV teaching certificate with Driver Education endorsement is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a West Virginia teaching certificate with Driver Education endorsement.
• Must meet all WV Department of Education requirements for Driver Education instruction.
• Must maintain valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide Driver Education instruction per WV DOE requirements.
• Deliver classroom and behind‑the‑wheel instruction as assigned.
• Teach and reinforce safe driving practices and traffic laws.
