Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Modesto, CA is hiring a Driver (DOT - CDL) Class A to join our distribution team. You will deliver from Fastenal Distribution Centers to branches and customer sites, unload at each stop, and ensure safety and compliance on the road.

The role requires obtaining or holding a HazMat endorsement, knowledge of DOT regulations, and the ability to drive interstate. Full-time benefits include health, life, long-term disability, dental, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals be on our transportation team! Working as a Full-time Driver (DOT - CDL) - Class A, you will be representing our fleet as you deliver from Fastenal Distribution Centers to branches and customer on-site locations. You will operate a safe, well-maintained and late model tractor trailer or straight truck. Delivery trucks are pre-loaded, in order of delivery, by warehouse employees prior to departure and you will be responsible for unloading the freight at each stop along your route; most routes average 10-12 stops. We offer established routes that may see periodic change based off needs of the company. REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess a current Haz Mat endorsement OR have the ability to obtain one (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
• Meet Fastenal driving record requirements
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the DOT regulations in regards to a CDL Driver
• Maintain DOT regulated Drivers Hours-of-Service
• Willingness to drive interstate routes across state lines
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift up to 60 lbs. and maneuver up to 150lbs.
• Successfully complete the required DOT drug and alcohol screens, road test, employment verification and background check

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior driving work experience
• Prior experience operating a forklift

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this position is $48,000 - 65,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
