Job summary

Plaza Tire Service, part of The Sun Auto Network, is seeking a Driver for our Warehouse/Distribution Center in the Arkansas area. The role requires a valid Class D license, ability to drive a manual transmission, and the capability to pass a DOT physical.

Hours include five days per week, with the expectation to lift up to 75 pounds and assist with shipments when not on the road. Competitive hourly pay is offered along with benefits through Sun Auto Tire & Service network.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class D driver's license and be able to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission.
• Must be able to pass a DOT medical exam.
• Reliable transportation and an approved driving record are required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Able to work five days per week, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to fulfill deliveries as part of Plaza Tire Service's Warehouse/Distribution Center operations.
• When not driving, assist in the warehouse with preparing shipments.

Plaza Tire Service handles the inventory needs of its store locations and wholesale customers through the Cape Girardeau Distribution Center. When not on the road, this position includes working within the warehouse to help prepare shipments. We have an opening for a Driver with a Class D license for our Warehouse/Distribution Center.

COMPENSATION: $19/ hour

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with Class D endorsement
• Must be able to drive a vehicle with a manual (standard) transmission
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical
• Reliable transportation
• Approved driving record

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

The Driver will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside. The use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required when working in these conditions.

• Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
• Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
