Job description

Clean Harbors in Orange, TX is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to operate light and heavy-duty trucks and work equipment at our customer sites. Vehicles operated include vacuum trailers, rolloff trailers, van trailers, box trucks, and high-powered vacuum loaders. This role involves performing driving and non-driving duties on and off customer sites, primarily related to hazardous waste cleanup.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety by following all safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed in a team environment.
• Operate various Class B trucks, including loading and unloading.
• Ensure customer satisfaction during service delivery.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and reports.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Operate vehicles safely according to DOT and other regulatory standards.
• Follow all company environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis, approximately every other week.
• Assist with site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL.
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as required.
• Successfully pass background checks, drug tests, and physical exams.
• Meet facial hair standards per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard if respirators are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Previous manual labor experience.
