Job summary

PODS in Charlotte, NC is seeking a CDL driver responsible for delivery and pickup of containers at customer locations. You will operate a truck with a lift, perform pre/post trip inspections, and maintain excellent rapport with customers.

To qualify you need a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid CDL A or B, plus at least 3 months of CDL driving experience. The role offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth in a safety‑driven, team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 months of experience as a CDL driver.
• Must maintain a current/valid CDL A or B license for the assigned state and be at least 21 years old.
• Safety and customer service excellence are essential for daily delivery operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a lift mechanism to load/unload containers at customer sites.
• Perform and log daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift.
• Accept add-on deliveries as required to meet business needs.
• Use handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane.
• Clean and inspect containers for delivery readiness.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers.
• Communicate with Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding questions or issues; prepare notes as needed.
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at storage centers.
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck cab; keep it free from debris.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $24.50 per hour

Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity. A reasonable estimate of the current wage range is listed below.

To qualify, you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent as well as a minimum of 3 months of experience employed as a CDL driver. In addition, you must maintain a current/valid CDL A or B from the state in which position is assigned and be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement).
