AtlantiCare's PACE LIFE program seeks a dedicated Driver to transport participants and related items within our Adult Day Health Center and clinic environment. You will operate a van safely, follow policies, and support quality service.

Requirements include a High School diploma, valid CDL, insurability, CPR/BLS within 90 days, CPI within 6 months; minimum 1 year serving frail or elderly individuals. Join a team focused on patient-centered care and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Transport PACE LIFE Program Participants and related items (meals, equipment) using the van.
• Operate the vehicle in accordance with laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support quality assurance studies and participate in performance improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support participant care.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The PACE LIFE Program Driver transports PACE LIFE Program Participants. This position also may transport meals, durable medical equipment, along with any other transportation as deemed necessary. The Driver operates the van according to all established laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY

The PACE LIFE Program Driver transports PACE LIFE Program Participants. This position also may transport meals, durable medical equipment, along with any other transportation as deemed necessary. The Driver operates the van according to all established laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

The Driver assists in developing quality assurance studies based on customer service as well as departmental policy and procedures.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid CDL licensure with no point’s violations required. Insurability and Registration also required. BLSHCP required within 90 days from date of hire or transfer. CPI required within 6 months of hire or transfer and renew every two years. Current incumbents must obtain CPI by 1/31/2027.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year working with the frail or elderly required.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This positon must be able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team model, interfacing and collaborating with a wide range of clinical and social services disciplines who work together to manage the PACE participants' care. The work setting is in an Adult Day Health Center and primary care clinic environment with moderate noise levels and controlled temperatures.

This position also requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Incumbents must be able to communicate with all staff, vendors, and clients. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination; the ability to use department equipment. This position also requires lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds. Using appropriate body mechanics and equipment, with reasonable accommodation if needed.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to department leadership as assigned.
