Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking CDL-A drivers to join our traveling team, covering sites nationwide. You will drive, inspect equipment, and contribute to safe, efficient transportation for customer sites.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• 6 months CDL Class A experience (or more).
• Hazmat endorsement and/or other endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor within the site or on public roads, moving multiple trailer styles.
• Inspect tractor/yard truck before and after shifts.
• Maneuver tractor/trailer safely within facilities and designated lanes.
• Maintain housekeeping within tractors/trailers and areas.
• Inspect trailers before movement to verify condition.
• Work safely and follow all safety policies.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Drive a tractor in and around the site or on public roads, moving multiple styles of trailers


• Inspect tractor/yard truck before and after the shift


• Maneuver tractor/trailer safely throughout the facility within the designated lanes and areas


• Maintain housekeeping within assigned tractor/trailer and defined areas


• Inspect trailers to be moved to verify condition


• Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices


• Perform driver ride-along reviews, conduct road tests, do site audits an more

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A experience


• A current valid CDL class A


• We are looking for the best of the best, this is the top gun program for GXO trucking!

It’d be great if you also have:

• 1 million accident free miles


• 5 years of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A experience


• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)


• Any added endorsements (Hazmat, doubles, TWIC card)
