Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking CDL drivers for home daily routes in Council Bluffs, IA. The role offers competitive pay, a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one, and shift differentials for night hours.

As a CDL Driver, you will operate box trucks and occasionally 53-ft tractors, with safety as a top priority. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401k with company match.

Qualifications

• 6 months of CDL Class A experience operating the same type of equipment or larger within the last 3 years.
• A current valid driver’s license and clean driving record over the past 2 years.
• A current valid CDL Class A and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Primarily operate a box truck, with occasional operation of a 53-ft tractor-trailer, in and around the site and on public roads.
• Inspect tractor/yard truck before and after the shift.
• Maneuver tractor/trailer safely throughout the facility within the designated lanes and areas.
• Maintain housekeeping within assigned tractor/trailer and defined areas.
• Inspect trailers to be moved to verify condition.
• Load and unload freight and supplies or assist in loading and unloading the truck.
• Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• A current valid driver’s license and clean driving record over the past 2 years
• A current valid CDL class A and clean driving record

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
