Job summary

Orgill, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver in Sikeston, MO to support our DC by delivering hardware merchandise to customers and handling returns. The role requires a valid Class A license with HazMat and experience driving tractors, including doubles, with readiness for occasional overnight work.

You will perform DOT-related duties, complete required paperwork, and uphold a high standard of safety and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a current Class A license and HazMat endorsement.
  • Doubles endorsement required.
  • Minimum of two years tractor driving experience, preferably with double trailers.
  • Willing and able to work nights – minimum two overnights may be required.
  • Excellent driving history and commitment to safety policies/practices.
  • Good comprehension and ability to interact with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with DOT regulations and safety functions.
  • Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip inspections.
  • Deliver and unload merchandise at customer stores, by hand if needed.
  • Complete all required paperwork (DOT logs, Manifests, Trip Reports, Fuel Reports).
  • Be familiar with the E-Log system.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain safety of cargo.
  • Direct traffic in case of accidents or breakdowns.
  • Crawl in and out of the cab multiple times per day.
  • Take direction from Supervisor and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Rotate and assist in other jobs when needed.

Primarily responsible for the support of the DC by efficiently delivering hardware related merchandise to Orgill, Inc. customers. The Delivery Driver also picks up customer returns and empty totes and transports them to the DC.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Must understand DOT regulations and safety related functions.
  • Must be able to perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip functions.

  • Must be able to climb in and out of the cab of truck several times per day.

Required Position Qualifications
  • Must possess a current Class A license and HazMat endorsement. Doubles required.
  • Must have past two years minimum tractor driving experience. Preferably experience pulling double trailers.
  • Must be willing and able to work as needed – minimum of two nights overnight may be required.
  • Must have excellent driving history.
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and willing to comply with all safety policies/practices.
  • Good comprehension skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
