Job summary

GXO Warehouse Company, Inc. in Louisville, KY is hiring a CDL Class A Driver - Home Daily. Shift is 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. You'll drive a 53ft dry tractor-trailer, perform touch freight, and keep safety a priority while helping ensure on-time deliveries.

We offer competitive pay with overtime after 40 hours, plus full health insurance, 401(k), life and disability coverage. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is included. CDL A license, MVR, and hazmat/tanker endorsements required.

Qualifications

• 6 months of CDL experience operating the same type of equipment or larger in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• A current valid CDL A license and an acceptable MVR.
• HAZMAT and TANKER endorsements required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive 53ft dry swing door tractor trailer on-site or on public roads.
• Touch freight position.
• Drive safely and follow all safety policies.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch.
• Approximately 90% of time in warehouse.

Pay rates starting at $27.50 per hour plus overtime pay available after 40 worked hours per week.

About the role

As a CDL Driver, you'll not only drive our equipment, but you'll also drive our success! You'll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily.

What you'll do on a typical day

• Drive 53ft dry swing door tractor trailer in and around the site or on public roads
• Touch freight position
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch
• 90% of the time will be in warehouse

What you'll need to succeed at GXO

At a minimum you'll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21 years old
• A current valid CDL A driver's license and an acceptable MVR
• HAZMAT and TANKER endorsement is required

It'd be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
