Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver for local routes with home daily scheduling. The role emphasizes safe, on-time delivery of goods and handling local driving requirements.

You will operate tractors with 48/53-foot trailers, perform dock loading tasks, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure efficient deliveries. Opportunities include weekday shifts and overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• 6 months of CDL experience operating the same type of equipment or larger in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• A current valid CDL A and an acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor pulling 48 or 53-foot trailers in and around the site or on public roads; may drive a 26-foot box truck.
• Touch freight using handling equipment to load/unload at the dock.
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices.
• Perform routine inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch.

Pay rates starting at $30.50/hr per hour plus overtime pay available after 40 worked hours per week.

About The Role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Drive a tractor pulling 48 or 53-foot trailers in and around the site or on public roads. At times you may be asked to drive a 26-foot box truck
• Touch freight position using material handeling eqiupment to assist in loading and unloading at the dock
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch

What You’ll Need To Succeed At GXO

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21 years old
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and an acceptable MVR

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
