Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver for home daily local routes in Louisville, KY. Shift is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

You will operate a 53ft dry swing door tractor-trailer, perform touch freight, and maintain safe, on-time deliveries with clear communication to dispatch. We offer a competitive package including health insurance, 401(k), life insurance and more, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 6 months of CDL experience operating the same type of equipment or larger in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• CDL A license with acceptable MVR and hazmat/tanker endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Drive 53ft dry swing door tractor-trailer in and around the site or on public roads.
• Touch freight position and ensure safe handling of loads.
• Drive safely following all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch; 90% of time in warehouse.

Pay rates starting at $27.50 per hour plus overtime pay available after 40 worked hours per week.

About The Role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Drive 53ft dry swing door tractor trailer in and around the site or on public roads
• Touch freight position
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch
• 90% of the time will be in warehouse

What you’ll need to succeed at GXO

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21 years old
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and an acceptable MVR
• HAZMAT and TANKER endorsement is required

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
