Job summary

Capitol Lakes in Madison, WI seeks a Driver – CDL to provide safe, reliable transportation for residents and guests with a welcoming, service-focused approach.

You will operate community vehicles, assist with mobility devices, and perform vehicle inspections while maintaining safety and high customer service standards for an aging population.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience driving cars, buses, or providing transportation services.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet PRS employment driver guidelines.
• CDL Class A, B, or C and DOT medical certificate preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, dependable, and comfortable working with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for residents to medical appointments, errands, outings, special events, and other scheduled destinations.
• Safely operate community vehicles, including passenger buses and vehicles equipped with wheelchair lifts.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and safely load and unload walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices.
• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Support resident safety by responding calmly to emergencies and delivering exceptional customer service during every interaction.
