Payrate:
- Hourly payrate: $27.03 an hour
What you need to know about this position:
- The position is represented by a labor union.
- Schedule may vary from Monday to Saturday, 4 or 5 days a week, starting times vary.
- Location: Houston, TX.
- Interstate position.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and conduct regular safety checks of equipment.
- Complete daily field service activities, including preparing receipts, truck logs, and maintenance records.
- Perform duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch.
Job Specific Requirements:
- Must have a CDL-Class A license and at least one year of safe driving experience.
- Valid REAL ID driver's license, U.S. passport, or federal ID required for access to military base facilities.
- Preferred experience in direct store delivery (DSD), but not required.
- Pass drug test, MVR, and background check.
- FMCSA's Clearinghouse Registration required.
What You'll Need as a Driver CDL:
- Customer-oriented attitude and excellent support skills.
- Minimum one year of safe driving experience with no serious convictions.
- Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations, local, state, and federal requirements.
- Understanding of temperature-controlled food transportation.
- Proficiency with smartphones, electronic logging devices, scanners, and delivery logs.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing routes and schedules.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
